Coming into the 2017 college baseball season, TCU was the consensus No.1 team. The players acknowledged the pressure to perform after reaching three consecutive College World Series and starting the season as the top-ranked team.

“You’ve got two options when those things come along: you can not talk about it and run away from it, or as the Cubs did this past year, you can embrace it,” TCU head coach Jim Schlossnagle said.
