Floyd Mayweather couldn’t find a way to secure another dream matchup in the ring against UFC star Conor McGregor.

Since he is the most successful fighter in boxing after retiring with a perfect 49-0 record, Mayweather had nothing to lose by doing this fight. The man has made 700 million dollars from the fight game in his career.

Mayweather doesn’t need any more money, which makes his inability to sign a deal with McGregor simply infuriating. The reason the two fighters couldn’t agree is because both wanted to receive more money than the other for their super fight. Since “Money” Mayweather’s ego wouldn’t allow him to make a penny less than his opponent, a worthy one for the first time in a while, the deal fell apart, the way his deals to fight Manny Pacquiao fell through.

Had Mayweather and Pacquiao fought when both fighters were in their primes, the outcome might’ve been different. At least it would’ve been more entertaining.
