Colin Kaepernick Will Be Back On the Field in 2016
Just a week or two ago, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was belittled for his protests during the National Anthem.
Now, he has one of the hottest jerseys in sports
A number of veterans, law enforcement officers, and fellow NFL players have stepped out in support of Kaepernick the social change activist.
That’s all great, but what about Colin Kaepernick, the quarterback?
Colin Kapernick the football player is finally healthy after months of battling a litany of injures.
Kaepernick has dealt with shoulder, thumb and knee injuries all in the past year, which led to 2011 draft bust Blaine Gabbert winning the starting spot to be the 49ers quarterback to begin the season.
However, 49ers head coach Chip Kelly left the door open for Kaep to regain his starting spot, saying that Kapernick needed to get more work in his [Kelly’s] offense and to get back to his normal playing weight.
In the last couple preseason games, Kaepernick has looked less like the guy who’s lost a step and more like the guy who led the 49ers to a few yards from a Super Bowl title.
